George Windsor
Windsor received a Master Degree in Painting and Illustration and decided to live and work in Saint Malo, France. His artistic inspiration comes from 15 and 16century Italian art. After several years of studying classical European art, he moved to New York where he was influenced by Contemporary American painting. He found most intriguing the colors and style of the abstract expressionists and these artists changed his art perceptions dramatically.
Windsor incorporates in his paintings the dramatic light and details of the classical painting while he paints the subjects in more contemporary way. At the same time in his abstract painting he is inspired by and uses the colors of the classical art. This unique artistic vision enables Windsor to create warm and rich multilayered paintings.
